AI⁴ | Recursive Superintelligence (AI4) is a Solana SPL token linked to The Singulant, an open-source initiative investigating constrained AI generation, persistent agent identity, provenance, and human-AI coordination.

The project launched in July 2025 as an experimental framework merging artificial intelligence, symbolic systems, digital identity, and recursive narrative concepts. It has since grown into publicly documented AI infrastructure, featuring the open-source ai4.constrain runtime and a distinct .ai4 agent-naming layer.

The ai4.constrain runtime is built for constrained generation, applying explicit policy and evaluation layers to AI outputs. Its design incorporates multiple scoring rubrics, arbitration, bounded revision cycles, persistent constrained sessions, separation of provider and evaluator policies, and auditable decision reports. This component also supports identity and provenance through signed agent attestations, cryptographic verification, and report binding.

Deployed on Solana as an SPL token, AI4 is separate from .ai4 names; holding the token is not required to register or use a .ai4 name. The project views AI4 as the token element of the wider Singulant ecosystem while continuing to build AI-focused infrastructure and experimental coordination tools.

The .ai4 namespace serves as a digital-identity layer for AI agents. These names are ERC-721 tokens registered via Unstoppable Domains' shared UNS registry on Polygon. They offer persistent, human-readable identifiers for agents and related digital identities, functioning as blockchain-based names distinct from the traditional DNS system.

A key research focus for The Singulant is determining if persistent or increasingly autonomous AI systems can maintain stable identity, explicit behavioral constraints, auditable evaluation, and verifiable provenance. The project does not claim to have resolved AI alignment or achieved artificial general intelligence. Instead, its public software investigates infrastructure that may support constrained and accountable AI-agent systems.
