Cryptopedia - Autheo
Autheo is a proof-of-stake Layer-1 blockchain that merges a Cosmos SDK consensus layer with an EVM execution environment derived from Ethermint. It offers decentralized compute, storage, and AI inference services in addition to standard smart contract capabilities. THEO serves as the network’s native token and sole gas asset.
The chain uses the Cosmos identifier autheo_2127-1 and EVM identifier 2127, producing blocks roughly every five seconds. Since Autheo supports a full EVM, Ethereum tools such as MetaMask, Hardhat, Foundry, and ethers.js function with its JSON-RPC endpoints without changes. One eth_secp256k1 keypair manages both Cosmos and EVM transactions, enabling accounts to work with both Bech32 and hexadecimal address formats.
Validation relies on a capped set of 399 Sovereign validator node licenses, which exist on-chain as NFTs. License holders engage via three tiers: Sovereign at full stake, Prime at ten percent, and Core at one percent. The network runs two parallel reward streams. Staking rewards come from the x/mint module and are distributed via x/distribution. License emission rewards accumulate per block through a custom x/emissions module and are claimed through x/licensedistribution. Both require manual claiming. Undelegation involves an approximate 21-day unbonding period, while redelegation between validators is disabled at the protocol level.
THEO has a maximum supply of 7,000,000,000 tokens, denominated in aauth with 18 decimals. The token follows an inflationary emission model starting at approximately 10 percent annually and decreasing over time. Allocations include 7.5 percent, or 525,000,000 THEO, for validator node licenses distributed linearly over 84 months with no cliff, and 15 percent, or 1,050,000,000 THEO, for infrastructure nodes following a three-month cliff. Emissions to validator, infrastructure, ecosystem, and developer reward pools are weighted by performance against uptime and service metrics.
In addition to consensus and fees, THEO pays for decentralized compute, distributed storage allocation, and AI inference operations. The token also supports TheoID, the project’s post-quantum identity registration system. Autheo describes THEO as a utility token rather than a governance token.
THEO started public trading on 20 August 2026 on Hydrex, a concentrated liquidity decentralized exchange on Base, paired against USDC at a reference price of 0.05 USD, with Enflux serving as market maker. A Hyperlane warp route links Autheo Chain to Base, where THEO appears as a HypERC20 synthetic token. Tokens bridged from Autheo Chain are locked on the origin chain and minted one-to-one on Base, meaning the Base token’s total supply reflects cumulative bridged volume instead of a separate allocation.
The project hosts public documentation at docs.autheo.com, covering node operation, module architecture, token parameters, and developer tooling. A commerce portal manages validator license sales, and a validator portal offers interfaces for delegation and reward claims.
