Cryptopedia - Quantoz USDQ
Quantoz USDQ (USDQ) functions as a stablecoin with a 1:1 peg to the US dollar. It is issued by Quantoz Payments BV, an Electronic Money Institution regulated by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). The token aims for Micar compliance, and its whitepaper defining it as an Electronic Money Token (EMT) has been filed with the Dutch Financial Authorities (AFM).
To meet regulatory standards, circulating USDQ tokens are backed by US dollars at a rate of 102%. These reserves are managed by Stichting Quantoz, a foundation structured to be bankruptcy remote. The funds are held in accounts at systemically important banks and in highly liquid T-bills, with Stichting Quantoz itself under the prudential supervision of the Dutch Central Bank.
