Cryptopedia - DAC Platform
Decentralized Affiliate Crowdsourcing (DAC) serves as a primary platform for developing and growing the Web3 Affiliate Community. It combines the Quest Portal and Community Hub to encourage strong engagement among Builders, Users, and the wider community, establishing a collaborative space within the Web3 landscape. The Quest Portal handles the start, completion, and automated rewarding of tasks in three main groups: Social Quests, Custom Quests, and Checkpoint Quests. This system links Requesters, such as partners or businesses, with Hunters, who are community members, for activities spanning from social media interaction to DeFi operations. The Community Hub is dedicated to overseeing and expanding the Web3 Affiliate Community, allowing Referrers to build their own networks and earn tokens in the DAC ecosystem. The platform connects users with verified products and services from various projects, helping Web2 users transition to Web3 with confidence and high-quality engagement.
The vision is to become the top global platform for constructing and advancing an interconnected Web3 community, where individuals can collaborate and gain sustainable benefits via decentralized technology. The mission aims to transform traditional marketing and user onboarding by substituting broad, inefficient advertising with performance-based, task-driven interactions. This approach allows projects to attract suitable users, making customer acquisition a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
DAC uses crowdsourcing to tackle major issues in the Web3 ecosystem, providing value in several areas:
- Project Development: Communities offer ideas, skills, and knowledge to improve blockchain and crypto projects, promoting creativity and diversity.
- Enhancing Security and Safety: Crowdsourcing helps communities spot vulnerabilities, perform testing, and assess security, resulting in a safer user environment.
- Content Creation and Service Provision: Communities produce diverse content, guides, and applications, improving service quality and variety.
- Building DAO Systems: Crowdsourcing aids in fair and transparent decision-making, monitoring, and management within DAOs.
- Optimizing Resources and Performance: Communities participate in data analysis and process improvement, boosting efficiency and cutting waste.
- Reasonable and Balanced Distribution: Crowdsourcing guarantees fair allocation of value and resources through community-led pricing, profit sharing, and decisions.
The platform runs on the Polygon blockchain to provide scalable, fast, and low-cost transactions. It is also built to support all chains, offering flexibility for Web3 projects and users. Blockchain technology ensures transparent task tracking, fair validation of participation, and immutable records of contributions. Users can finish tasks like following social accounts, linking wallets, sharing content, inviting others, testing products, or completing cross-platform missions to earn rewards such as tokens, NFTs, or whitelist slots from DAC Partners.
DAC utilizes advanced technology for security and innovation. The Bot Mitigation and Anti-fraud System (BMAS) safeguards the ecosystem by identifying and stopping malicious bots and fraud before they cause damage. The platform also employs Generative AI, including large language models like GPT and LLaMA, to change affiliate marketing by producing high-quality, context-aware content for e-commerce and social networks. A central part of the framework is MetaCitizen, which combines the SoulBound Token electronic passport, the MetaID decentralized identity management system, and the affiliate marketing system. This integration makes MetaCitizen the main store for user information, ensuring secure and smooth identity management.
The DAC platform launched in June 2024, managed by a team located in Singapore. The group includes experts in Web3, blockchain, and tech development:
- James Ross Croyle, Chief Executive Officer: Previously the BigData Lead/Web3 Builder at Microsoft, APAC, he brings significant experience in data-driven innovation and Web3 development.
- Val Bercovici, Strategic Advisor: Former CTO of NetApp and a founding member of the Oracle Linux Foundation under ONAP, he offers strategic guidance on enterprise technology and open-source ecosystems.
