Magma operates as a community-oriented Liquid Staking Protocol on the Monad network, aiming for fair token allocation through its Points Programs. The project is working with Obol to construct the first Distributed Validator on Monad and is developing MEV solutions to substantially lower latency. Through its staking pool, users can deposit Monad tokens to receive liquid staked Monad tokens, known as gMON. These gMON tokens signify the user's staked or deposited MON holdings within Magma. Holders may use gMON to accumulate staking rewards or engage with diverse DeFi platforms, for instance by supplying it as collateral for loans.
