Cryptopedia - Zebec Network
Zebec is a decentralized infrastructure network designed for real-world value flows. Established in 2021, Zebec has secured $35 million in investments from backers including Circle, Coinbase, Solana Ventures, Breyer Capital, Republic, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Evolving from its origins as a continuous settlement protocol, Zebec has merged multiple protocols into an interconnected and interoperable infrastructure. It integrates a portfolio of blockchain-enabled RWA payment, payroll, and retail products, with the aim of becoming a full-fledged financial infrastructure powerhouse. Currently, Zebec Network serves hundreds of companies in web2 and web3 economies, seeking to bring blockchain into daily life. The vision is to create a future where money moves more freely, providing individuals, businesses, investors, and teams with faster and easier access to funds and tokens. Central to this goal is the continued development of transformative blockchain-based consumer applications intended to significantly impact and improve lives.
Diverse fintech product suite
The current lineup of fintech products includes real-time payroll, WageLink (a traditional payroll app with built-in web3 features), payment cards, DePIN with its own Point-0f-Sale (PoS) systems, and treasury management for web3 companies. These tools are designed to bridge the gap between crypto and fiat payments, offering employees flexibility in receiving and spending salaries. The ecosystem’s on- and off-chain user base is growing rapidly, currently standing at 50,000 monthly users, and is expected to at least double by year’s end.
Fusing Web2 and Web3 to deliver value to clients
Zebec applies its technology to the traditional payroll sector by investing in payroll service companies through Payroll Growth Partners (PGP). Licensed to operate across multiple states and expanding through additional acquisitions by PGP, Zebec aims to fuse innovation into conventional payroll processing. This includes expanding services for employers and employees to include crypto rails. With WageLink, its first compliant traditional payroll app built with an advanced blockchain backend, PGP introduces next-gen technology to traditional payroll processors and the workforce.
Through partnerships and direct integrations with Circle and Stellar, WageLink enables web3 features such as near-zero cost cross-border remittances and USDC payroll. It also provides advanced payroll tools like early wage access, budgeting, bill payments, and pay cards within a single, unified application.
Starting in 2023, Zebec launched several crypto payment cards and currently offers two popular options: 1/ the prepaid Zebec Silver Card (formerly Zebec Instant), described as the industry's first non-custodial, multi-chain, zero-fee card; and 2/ the Zebec Black Card, a debit card with no spend limit. Both cards are supported by the global Mastercard network, can be added to Apple Pay and Google Pay, and are accepted worldwide for retail and online purchases. Zebec Cards allow users to spend cryptocurrency as fiat (in USD, EUR, GBP, with additional currencies added regularly) on everyday purchases. The program is known for integrating with and rewarding cardholders and ecosystem participants with memecoins such as MOG, BONK, MEW, and BRETT, among others.
Multi-chain, interoperable network
With its roots and native token on the Solana blockchain, Zebec has expanded across multiple blockchains, including Base, BNB Chain, NEAR, and Ethereum. The platform has evolved into a comprehensive multi-chain ecosystem that extends beyond payment flows to encompass data management and support Zebec's physical infrastructure (DePin), including a range of proprietary Point of Sale (PoS) systems and terminals.
$ZBCN Tokenomics
The ZBCN Token is the governance and utility token of the Zebec Network. Holders have voting rights in the governance system and vote on critical decisions affecting the network and ecosystem. The token also unlocks various benefits and incentives for contributors and holders.
The $ZBCN token is traded on numerous exchanges globally, including Kucoin, Bybit, OKX, Crypto.com, BitHumb, HTX, Gate, BitMart, Bitget, Raydium, Orca, Pancake Swap, OpenOcean, Solstarter, Cropper, and Solster, and has a history of being among top movers.
